The Securities and Exchange Commission has been really strong on the issue of Ponzi schemes and it seems every week they are cracking down on them. Ponzi schemes are frequent throughout any financial system but it is up to the government and investors to be vigilant in their due diligence and persistence against the schemers. Investors should pay attention to the signs of a Ponzi scheme and should not hesitate to sue for their stolen funds. I think people should remember the Madoff affair whenever they deal are investing as a lesson.
