, The National Law Journal

It's also not right to imply that other states might have tried this as a short-term experiment that failed. I took the Georgia Bar in February of my third year in 1981 and it had been that way for as long as anybody could remember. As I recall Georgia didn't change it until after the 1996 Olympics. No I didn't do any coursework my third year but who did? The Law Review folks didn't take the February bar but they were writing and editing they weren't really in school either.

It seems like a good idea, but they are incorrect about no other state allowing it. Texas lets students sit for the February bar exam as long as they have only 4 semester hours left. It's been that way since at least a few years before I did in back in 2005. It was really helpful so that in May I got passing bar results, graduated, and started a job without having to wait till November for the Summer Bar Exam results.
