Amway recently intimidated several people into out of (federal) court settlements who were reselling Amway products by using the losing side of the "first sale" doctrine: http://www.mlive.com/business/west-michigan/index.ssf/2012/08/amway_drops_suit_against_1_of.html It is likely some of these lawsuits involved Amway IBOs and/or employees, but you won't hear that from Amway.

Former Solicitor General Olson should be ashamed for representing the losing side, but hey, I'm sure the publishing industry pays well, so it's all good.

Amway will sue anybody for anything, I proved that when they filed a frivilous lawsuit against me when I was using my First Amendment right and spreading the word about the Amway Tool Scam, then I won the settlement agreement. Just google "Stop The Amway Tool Scam Wordpress" for more detail about the Amway Tool Scam.

A sensible decision - the Framers would have been proud!
