I would still like to know why animals in the wild who somehow find their way to where the humans (and I use that word loosely here) reside, attend church, learning institutions, see Psychologists at times, Spiritualists, hear lectures/read books on How to win friends and influence people, etc., etc., get the win/win version of solving a conflict? They get a big shot of some strong drug in the derear, and while sleeping peacefully and enjoying the blissful journey that that medical whopper takes him on, furthermore, they get to wake up. Human beings get eliminated.
"...and forgive us as we forgive those who trespass against us...". Operative phrase, "as we forgive". As we show mercy to others, we are shown mercy, or our children. Yes make arrests when necessary. Yes, take precautions. But we treat civilized people from a free country who make mistakes, get caught up in the ball of confusion (work hard, no jobs, little pay, big interest on goods & services) like . . . like . . . that.

Declared a mistrial after he was fatally shot. Ya think!!!!!!!

I would guess it would be a mistrial after "The court finds that this occurrence in the courtroom would so prejudice Mr. Angilau as to deprive him of a fair trial."

That ‘s because he‘s DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are they going to do, hold a trial in absentia???????
