All rational law abiding citizens can and should completely agree with Senator Whitehouse‘s argument of the facts. This shouldn‘t be partisan at all. Comey‘s actions were and are very damaging to our fundamental beliefs of innocent until proven guilty and the justice department must be not subject to political influence.

Jim, Jim, Jim. No one other than an imbecile and/or blindly partisan Democrat would even try to argue that Mrs. Clinton isn‘t plainly guilty of intentionally breaking laws intended both to protect national security secrets and preserve government documents. Furthermore, if Scooter Libby obstructed justice, so too did Crooked Hillary and her lying henchmen and women, Huma, Cheryl, Brian, et al. So the fact is that Comey‘s improper action came in July when he failed to announce his referral of several criminal counts against Mrs. Clinton to the DOJ. And as far as you borrowing from Harry Reid‘s playbook and making false accusations about me or Mitt Romney or anyone else, go ahead -- that‘s what integrity-free political hacks do. But unless you‘re going to BleachBit my server files and hypnotize me into lying to the public and investigators repeatedly, I‘m confident I‘ll be cleared of whatever charges you dream up. And then, unlike the cowardly Sen. Reid who tells his lies safely on the Senate floor, you‘ll be liable to a bankrupting defamation suit. So go ahead, make my day, shyster.

Whitehouse is hardly a shyster. Kory Nelson, your comment is an argument against prosecutorial disclosures, not for them. Right, that‘s what we want, prosecutors free-lancing/grandstanding by releasing information, or more accurately, vague innuendo, that may or may not have any substance, let alone be chargeable. Forget about the election, Comey‘s action on it‘s face is seriously improper. How about this, T. Foster, I‘ll send a letter to Congress that I MIGHT have information about you, nothing more. Ever heard of Joe McCarthy ?

Again, I am calling on the Attorney General to fire Comey and investigate him for possible violation of the Hatch Act. Ms. Hemenway, you‘re attempting to smear the Clintons and Pres Obama with innuendo and name-calling far beneath the standards of this fine publication. Mr. Foster, you are investing Comey with the power to personally decide who the next president should be -- a TRULY scary idea! Stop with the partisanship people. Let‘s discuss and analyze facts and the law. What Comey did was wrong based on long-standing Justice Dept. guidelines discussed above by Senator Whitehouse, and possible illegal as discussed today by Senator Reid. COMEY SHOULD BE FIRED and investigated.

Circle the Wagons & Release the Attack Dogs! Prosecutions of public figures are extremely controversial and the public‘s trust in the investigation and prosecution is more important in those cases, resulting in a greater leniency towards early disclosure. The Colorado Supreme Court recognized this aspect in changing our rules of professional conduct in response to a June 2007 incident involving Jefferson County DA Scott Storey‘s press conference where he revealed detailed evidence supporting outrageous accusations against Denver City Attorney Larry Manzanares, who then shot himself. Letting the public know the truth has its values too.

It may be difficult for a shamelessly self-serving shyster like Sen. Whitehouse to understand, but Director Comey is likely motivated by a desire to undo -- before it‘s too late -- the great wrong he did in July, giving Hillary a pass because to do otherwise would have implicated a sitting president in a felony. Mrs. Clinton is a pathological liar and criminal, and the nation simply can‘t afford to waste another four years on investigations and partisan recriminations when long-term reforms for entitlements and the tax code are desperately needed.
-
Please, Ms. Frumpkins. If Comey‘s fired he‘ll sing like a bird, telling the world about ALL the Obama/Clinton crimes of the past several years. And because our sociopath president is consumed by his legacy, Comey will remain free as a bird instead.

Comey should be fired immediately and investigated for possible violation of the Hatch Act.
