Thankfully this article’s headline states "media frenzy" and not "news media frenzy." How many editors carefully weighed the possibility of an arrest, required reporters to check with the FBI and U.S. Attorney to verify it, and then gave his/her on-air "newslebrity" an OK to histrionically the update? Real hard news must be sourced, curated, edited, and verified. An old sarcastic line we once used to describe a handful of yellow news publishers is now a media motto. Today, they "never lets the facts stand in the way of a good story."
