Texas Ordered to Pay Legal Fees in Redistricting Case


A federal judge in Washington on Wednesday ordered the state of Texas to pay more than $1 million in attorney fees to groups that challenged the state’s redistricting plan. The judge chastised the state’s lawyers for barely responding to the fee petition, instead filing a three-page “advisory.”
